摘要
For efficient strain scanning, efficiency and accuracy are important parameters for planning an instrument. ILL has built a system with collimating optics and a Position Sensitive Detector. The different aspects of the method like peak clipping, surface effect, measuring time and the definition of the gauge volume are discussed and measurements comparing the performance of a slit geometry and the collimator are presented.
