摘要
The genesis of forest-steppe chernozems is considered in a historical aspect. Different possible ways of their formation are considered: "vegetative-terrestrial," "boggy," and "soddy-meadow." Chernozems in typical and southern forest-steppes can occur both under meadow-steppe communities and under sparse broad-leaved forests. Changes in climate and vegetation may result in either the degradation or the progradation of chernozems.
