摘要
Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection can complicate the clinical course in patients with inflammatory bowel. disease. Most cases have occurred in patients who are receiving systemic corticosteroids or other immunosuppressive agents, although cases have been reported in immunocompetent persons. This condition is more prevalent with ulcerative colitis and only rarely has been associated with Crohn disease. We report a case of CMV proctitis in a patient with Crohn disease who was corticosteroid-naive.
