Modulatation and hopping using modified hermite pulses for UWB communications

摘要
As a communication system of a new indoor short distance radio-communication for Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN), Ultra Wideband (UWB) system is examined towards standardization. In such examination, UWB system uses limited bandwidth and transmitted power in order to avoid interference with other systems. The possibility of realization, such as the multiband type, which uses a subcarrier, is higher than the system which does not use a subcarrier like the Impulse Radio (IR) system considered conventionally. In this research, the "Modified Hermite Pulse" as which application to IR system was proposed is modulated, and application to UWB of the "Modulated and Modified Hermite Pulse" improved so that only a desired bandwidth might be occupied is proposed. Furthermore, about the characteristic and the performance of the waveform, it evaluates using computer simulations, and excelling in the BER characteristic as compared with a Multiband-FHTH system is shown.
