Organic light emitting diodes with red emission using (2,6-dimethyl-4H-pyran-4′-ylidene)malononitrile moiety

摘要
A red emitter for organic light emitting diode (OLED), 4-(dicyanomethylene)-2,6-bis(4-dimethylaminostyryl)-4H-pyran (d_DCM) have been synthesized and characterized. This compound has symmetrical molecular structure with two donor units and one acceptor unit. Three kinds of OLED were fabricated utilizing d_DCM and investigated. We observed saturated red color, centered at 610-630 nm with OLED. The full widths at half maximum value of all the emission spectra of OLEDs were about 70 nm. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
