摘要
he present work is located in the city of Girardot-Colombia and is based on an approach carried out by Social Work students in the frame of their professional practices in which various cases of violence against women took place on the scenarios of active recognition. It is in these scenarios where particular situations presented by each attacked woman are identified and interpreted from the phenomenological theory by using typical methodological processes of qualitative social investigations, with techniques such as the interview, observation guides and family mapping. Likewise, the knowledge, skills and competencies that are present in the students for dealing with issues of Gender-based Violence-GBV are explored, as well as the cases identified in the institutions that exist in the city to deal with this problem. The results obtained suggest the possibility of generating a municipal diagnosis about GBV, based on an ethical and reflective attitude towards the existing gender-based violence paradigms, and the interpretation made with gender theory, making evident a problem that affects half of humanity, from historical conceptions where women are victims and object of discrimination.
