摘要
The effect of the magnetic disturbance of January 10-11, 1997, on the structure of the outer electron radiation belt is analyzed based on the data of the Grif-1 scientific instrumentation complex on board the Mir orbital station. The authors relate the observed strong variation of the radiation-belt structure to the following two successive processes: injection of electrons to L approximate to 4 during the magnetic storm of January 10, 1997, and shift of drift shells of the injected electrons to L approximate to 3 and lower during the magnetosphere deformation on January 11,1997.
