Quantum shock waves in the Heisenberg XY model

摘要：

We show the existence of quantum states of the Heisenberg XY chain that closely follows the motion of the corresponding semiclassical ones, and whose evolution resembles the propagation of a shock wave in a fluid. These states are exact solutions of the Schrodinger equation of the XY model and their classical counterparts are simply domain walls or solitonlike solutions.
