The European Council has undertaken a project, called Discover to support professional development of teachers by offering them tools, methods community experiences, and training programs that will enable them to respond to changing educational requirements. It is also expected that such training and experiences will help the teachers to support the personal, social, cultural, and cognitive development of their students. Another significant objective of the project is to make European education and training program a reference for other such projects undertaken around the world. Teachers are facing significant changes in the profession due to increasing complexity and demands from society and emerging needs of students and their different attitude towards learning and knowledge acquisition. The project aims to train teachers to learn to know, learn to performing educational tasks, and learn to face and overcome social challenges.
