摘要
The sliced system of the ATLAS end-cap muon level 1 trigger consists of about, 500 inputs. It completes almost entire functionalities required for the final system. The six prototype custom chips (ASICs) with the full specification are implemented in the system. The structure and partitioning are also conformed to the final design. With this sliced system, we have made validity check of the design, performance and long run tests for both the trigger and readout parts in detail. We report the outline of the sliced system along with the final design concept, and present results of the system test and discuss possible improvements for the final system.
