Automated data acquisition system for E-line EPR VARIAN:: control interface and application software

摘要
An automatized data acquisition system, for a VARIAN, E-Line Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR), is presented, in terms of connectivity hardware and data collection software. A connection hub was developed in order to connect all measurement instruments to a data acquisition PC. A device was developed to act as an interface between PC and the VARIAN's Field sweeper original equipment (FieldMark II), the software for control was included in that of the data adquisition one. This software version also allow control actions over the acquisition system yielding a non user physical intervention in the EPR set devices. This system permits device control, information collection and signal processing from a single workstation -PC-, in a friendly and single-user scheme, therefore, making the EPR experiments of such research laboratory a more efficient and practical task.
