摘要
The process of creating residential areas has changed according to the social and economic conditions over decades. One of the important factors affecting the quality of public space, depending on its location, is the overall form of the urban structure. The paper focuses on the correlation between the form of the housing environment and the associated public space. By three selected examples of residential structures in Bratislava, the paper attempts to explain the process of creation and functioning of interspace in linear areas. A rhythmic shifting of line objects and mass spatial features are common characters of expression. Knowledge of the development and an analysis of these residential complexes will allow us to understand their inner arrangement and context within the creation of public spaces.
