THE ADAPTIVE CAPACITY OF THE REGIONAL PRESS TO HISTORICAL CHANGES. SOME EXAMPLES FROM LA RIOJA

The press has always been a key instrument to understand and explain the course of history, both as a motor and as a reflection of reality, events and cultural creations that occur in each era, such as research source for the study of all of them. From its origins, the press has served as a connection between historical actors, collective mentalities and the variable social, political, cultural or artistic circumstances. It is precisely by considering this evolution that we can understand the adaptation to historical change that this medium has carried out. Two examples will be analysed on that purpose: La Rioja and Rioja Industrial.
