Soil microorganisms (bacteria, fungi) play on important role in soil fertility and quality These microorganisms influence plant health and are responsible for biogeochemical cycles and mineralization of organic compounds This review summarizes the recent progress in the studies of soil microbial communities and shows various methods used to study microbial diversity in soil
