摘要
This study aims to characterize, through eddy current testing, the different aged microstructures of HP austenitic stainless steel of reformer furnace tubes. According to the literature, the microstructural transformations occurred during aging of HP steel causes changes in its magnetic properties. The angle phases obtained by the eddy current technique were plotted in the impedance plane with the purpose of correlating the angle phase variation with the microstructure. The developed methodology provides a promissory form to detect the state of aging of HP austenitic steel using the eddy current technique.
