摘要
This paper describes the methods and results of an uncertainty analysis of a flood damage assessment of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta and Suisun Marsh levees. The flood damage assessment included computation of expected annual damages (EAD) and expected annual fatalities (EAF) for 140 islands and tracts protected by more than 1,200 miles of levees. A first-order, second-moment method (Taylor series) was used to estimate the uncertainty in the EAD and EAF computed for each island and tract.
