Research on urban ecological water system construction: A study case of Wulijie, China

摘要
InChina, although the contradiction between water supply and demand is increasingly prominent, some areas are still over-exploiting water resources, leading to serious damage to the water environment. This paper uses Wulijie as a study case, which is a small town in Wuhan and will be built into an ecological city in the future plan, to find out the ways of protecting and reusing water resources during the construction of an ecological city. It firstly introduces the present conditions of water system in Wulijie according to the site investigation, analyzes present problems, and predicts problems that may occur during the developing process. Then it makes specific designs from three aspects, which are water supply system, water drainage system, and water resources reservation. Finally, it proposes some suggestions to guarantee the sustainability of water resources and improve the living standard in Wulijie.
