Magnetic field analyses of claw-pole on straight pillared electro-magnetic gears by 3-D FEM

摘要
The teeth of straight pillared electro-magnetic gears adopt claw-pole structure, the shape of claw-pole have a certain effect on the distribution and transmission of magnetic force. Based on 3-D finite element method, this paper sets up three diffident claw-pole models of straight pillared electro-magnetic gears. The calculation of magnetic field is done, the 3-D images of magnetic field distribution is made, the calculation results are analyzed and contrasted, and the magnetic flux density Curves along axial direction are also drawn. A kind of claw-pole shape which fits for straight pillared electro-magnetic gears transmission is found.
