Investigation and Analysis on the Eco-tourism Resources in Heyuan City

Through investigation and statistical analysis of Heyuan's eco-tourism resources, this paper finds that there are 93 major eco-tourism resources in Heyuan. These resources can be divided into six types, i.e. mountain forest, hydrology, hot springs, leisured agriculture, traditional settlements, and geological landscapes. In views of the spatial distribution, hydrology, mountain, forest eco-tourism resources are concentrated in the Dongjiang river basin, Xinfeng river Basin and Jiulian Mountain area. Hot spring resources are mainly distributed in the area around the Heping County. Leisure agriculture resources are concentrated in Dongyuan county andYuancheng city which are suitable for cultivation. The natural ecological resources of Heyuan are diversified, cultural eco-tourism resources are featured by distinct characteristics of Hakka culture in the East River upper reach. But eco-tourism resources development in Heyuan is also restricted by many factors. The void design of eco-tourism product which does not fully explore the connotation of Hakka culture, the tourism industry structure of Heyuan is not perfect, and the level of management level of tourism is low and talents of high qualification are scarce.
