摘要
Compressed sampling theory (CS) states that the sparsity of the signal can be used to reduce the conversion rate and save energy. Devices that implement this approach are called analog-to-information converters (AIC). Usually CS frameworks require dedicated analog CS encoders built by power-hungry active amplifiers, which limit the overall power saving. In this paper is considered the implementation of AIC with random demodulation based on a successive-approximation-register analog-to-digital converter (SAR ADC). CS framework uses passive capacitive digital-to-analog converter (DAC). This approach allows to implement AIC as an auxiliary mode for the main ADC.
