摘要
This work shows a first approach to climatic analysis of flood events frequency for Catalonia (NE Spain) and Southeastern part of France from 12th/14th centuries. Systematic data collection in documentary sources allows the reconstruction of continuous flood frequency series. Documentary heritages in Mediterranean area preserve flood information in daily resolution from 12th/14th centuries up to the present. Climatic analysis of these data shows a general frequency pattern of flood characterized by no-systematic episodes. A short number of climatic oscillations (20/40 years duration) can be observed. On the other hand, documentary sources also contain information about hydraulic/hydrologic aspects and anthropogenic impacts.
