摘要
The influence of relative humidity of the environment on the level of Cr (VI) in chrome-tanned leather was studied. The experiments were carried out as follow: The same sample of leather was cut into a few pieces and then these pieces were stored in different relative humidity ranging from high to low individually followed by determination of Cr (VI) respectively. After that, these pieces passing experiments mentioned above were stored in different relative humidity ranging from low to high followed by determination of Cr (VI). To confirm the influence of relative humidity on level of Cr (VI), these pieces of leather soaked in dichromate solution were dried and then stored in different relative humidity followed by determination of Cr (VI) individually. The result was that: the higher relative humidity, the lower level of Cr (VI) and vice versa.
