摘要
Formal language of contemporary architecture is constantly changing. For years, one can observe embedding trends in which the form of a building is not the result of construction requirements and functional expectations but it precedes them and acts as a declaration of designer's creativity and artistic attitude and as a promise of how designed space should affect its users. Formal procedures derived from a variety of architectural styles and eras are used simultaneously (often in the same facilities). However it is not the effect of the assumed design method (e.g. characteristic for the eclectic postmodernism), but rather an intuitive "fusion" of elements helping to search for innovation. These are the symptoms specific to each and every era of "transition" in architecture, between the dusk of one era and the dawn of the other, the formal language is just being formed. It seems interesting to indicate the potential features of the language by comparing it with languages already formed.
