Cyclic pressuremeter loading and liquefaction properties of a sand

摘要：
We present in this communication an experimental program carried out with the mini pressuremeter in calibration chamber and with the hollow cyclinder to determine the potential of the cavity expansion sollicitation to evaluate the liquefaction characteristics of a sand. The experimental program shows strong analogy between cyclic drained cavity expansion tests and cylic undrained triaxial tests. Finally, we propose a correlation between the two tests allowing to obtain liquefaction characteristics of a sand from cyclic drained cavity expansion tests.
