摘要
A broad definition of community practice has implications for how occupational therapy services are defined, delivered and funded. The historical foundations of occupational therapy support an expansion into health promotion and prevention programming that is based in the community. Moving into these roles opens tip an array of finding possibilities. It may also require developing new partnerships, new skills, and work under different job titles. This article describes two approaches to broadening occupational therapy's role into the community and gives examples of programs and funding sources for each.
