Powder metallurgy research institutions in Austria

For decades, the Powder Metallurgy (PM) industry in Austria has kept its close ties with research institutions. In fact, all the major branches of PM are represented at some institutions. Since large scale funding for basic research is limited, R&D institutions have actively cooperated with industry for the funding of research activities and obtaining information about the most recent trends in PM. Through such cooperations, both the industry and institutions have made full use of available equipment and expertise. The very satisfactory state of the PM industry and the respective research institutions attest to the success of this approach.
