摘要
Dry reforming of methane (DRM) was investigated for synthesis gas production over zeolite-supported Ni catalysts, and the effect of MgO content was explained. The results revealed that nickel nanoparticles have strong interaction with MgO-zeolite. Adding MgO on beta zeolite increases the conversion of methane and carbon dioxide, and also provides better catalytic stability. The catalyst with Ni/Mg (1:1 wt) on beta zeolite showed the best catalytic activity, with 95% conversion and 97% for CH4 and CO2, respectively. This catalyst also showed higher catalytic stability in the dry reforming of methane and there was low coke formation (2.0 mg/gcat h). Ni catalysts supported on MgO-beta have shown great promise for use in DRM.
