摘要
Software Estimation is one of the most important parts of software project management, and the functional size measurement of software is an important part of software estimation. There are several popular methods of functional size measurement, including IFPUG FPA Mark II FPA, NESMA FPA and COSMIC-HP. This paper analyzes the semantics of UML artifacts (use case diagram, class diagram and sequence diagram) and primary elements of COSMIC-FFP(Functional User, Layer, Boundary, Data Group and Functional Process) and establishes the mapping from UML artifacts to COSMIC-HP elements. As a result, 15 mapping rules are proposed. This paper also proposes a UML-based measurement process of COSMIC-FFP, and meantime proposes 11 principles and 8 measurement rules while doing measurement work. This paper also presents a case study for our work.
