Global oil price dynamics are shown for a period between 1997 and the first quarter of 2000. This paper highlights main drivers of the oil market over this period and OPEC policy impacting the world oil market fundamentals. Regional consumption and productive capacity are shown in regional breakdown, and for individual countries, along with inter-regional trade balance data.
