摘要
Due to the simple and robust structure, costeffective SRM has attracted much attentions. For the applications to Electric vehicles (EVs), in-wheel motor whose configuration has an inner stator and outer rotor. The arrangement can eliminate transmission loss greatly. This paper mainly focuses on the torque characteristics analysis for the in-wheel SRM. Through torque performance comparison among three-phase SRMs with different numbers of rotor poles, including 6/4, 6/8 and 6/10 SRM, the measurement index: torque density, torque ripple and torque per loss can be evaluated by Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Furthermore, the higher number of rotor poles concept is extended to four-phase SRM, 8/6 and 8/10 SRM. The torque characteristics are also assessed between them.
