摘要
The characteristics of quasi-monochromatic tunable X-ray sources based on multipasses of electrons through thin targets installed in cyclical accelerators are discussed. An internal bremsstrahlung radiator coupled with a multilayer X-mirror placed outside the accelerator vacuum chamber is used to produce tunable, narrow spectra. It is compared with other radiators using different emission mechanisms, such as transition radiation and coherent bremsstrahlung. The calculated formulae given here allow the comparison of the spectral and angular-distribution intensities of these mechanisms. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
