摘要：
The success of future manufacturing organizations depends on the elimination of tooling costs, reduction in product development cycle time, and the enhancement of the current solid-freeform-fabrication (SFF) machine capabilities to produce small batch sizes of components with form, fit, and function. The pertinent and important informations about the state of the art in SFF technology are presented.
