摘要
New data on structure, water chemistry and current state of the acid lake in the active crater of the Gorely Volcano, South Kamchatka are presented. Physical and chemical parameters of studied water are similar to those of other volcanic acid lakes but differ in (1) enhanced cation/anion weight ratio and (2) FelAl>1. The reason for these peculiarities is the post-eruptive water-rock interaction combined with magma degassing. It is expected that study of dynamics of thermal/chemical variations in the lake waters will allow us to predict future eruptions of the Gorely Volcano.
