MHD-free convection from a vertical plate embedded in a thermally stratified porous medium with Hall effects

摘要
The problem of the free convection flow of an electrically conducting fluid along a vertical plate embedded in a thermally stratified porous medium in the presence of a uniform normal magnetic field is investigated. The basic equations comprising the balance laws of mass, linear momentum, and energy modified to include the porous medium Darcian and non-Darcian effects, the Hartmann and Hall effects of magnetohydrodynamics, and the thermal stratification of the porous medium are solved numerically using the finite difference method. Graphical results for the velocity temperature, skin-friction and the local Nusselt number profiles are illustrated and discussed for various physical parametric values.
