摘要
Based on the understanding that texts are product of social interaction, materialized in open and dialogical writing, this article analyzes how the evaluative language is presented in the texts produced by students from a proposal of journalistic profile production in the classroom. The research is based on the Sociorethoric approach of textual genre and the Appraisal System of Systemic-Functional Linguistics. Five texts of the genre journalistic profile were analyzed in their final versions produced by students of a 2nd grade class from a public school in the city of Restinga Seca, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, based on a proposal to produce a journalistic profile textual genre. The analysis evidenced the use of evaluation resources that express, mainly, positive judgments about the profiles, followed by expressions of affection and appreciation. The evaluation occurrences used in the texts produced by the students contribute to characterize the author nature of the journalistic profile.
