Health outcomes methodology

This glossary, which is not meant to be exhaustive, contains some key terms important to the health outcomes field and either used in presentations at the 1999 Health Outcomes Methodology Symposium or included in the following articles that resulted from that symposium. This list contains terms that are potentially unfamiliar to the general reader or that were central to the discussions, and if was originally compiled by Kathleen Lohr (Health Services and Policy Research, Research Triangle Institute, Research Triangle Park, NC) and Susan Skillman (University of Washington, Seattle). Various symposium attendees reviewed the list of terms and contributed definitions, resulting in the final glossary contained here.
