摘要
In contrast to conventional polarisation maintaining fibres, a simple Ge-doped singlemode fibre is used to generate tunable femtosecond soliton pulses. Soliton self-wavelength-shift up to 200 nm is achieved in a 17 in-long fibre. The generated 'monocoloured' soliton pulses have quasi-ideal sech(2) spectral shapes.
