Image Denoising Algorithm Using Anisotropic Diffusion Based on Contourlet Transform

摘要
An image de-noising algorithm by integrating anisotropic diffusion with Contourlet transform was proposed, which combined the strongpoint of Contourlet transform with anisotropic diffusion (P-M diffusion). Different scale matrixes of Contourlet coefficient of the image can be obtained through Contourlet transform iterations, as a result, the improved algorithm made it possible to carry out the new P-M diffusion de-noising process based on multi-scale analysis of the image. The experiment results have demonstrated that the proposed method can significantly improve the PSNR value and avert the staircasing effect in the traditional P-M diffusion effectively while preserving image textures and details.
