摘要
More co-operation between colleagues teaching at different universities will be necessary, especially in R&D, because of the hard financial restrictions of the German government Therefore, in September 1998 a first national symposium called Focus Measurement Technique took place at the Fachhochschule Kiel. The scope of the symposium has been a first contact between those professors of German Universities of Applied Sciences teaching measurement science. The meeting should give insight into the possibilities in teaching as well as into the fields of interest in R&D and the facilities for R&D of the participants connected with the hope of co-operation in the near future. The symposium was of such success that a second symposium took place at the Fachhochschule Jena in 1999, and the meeting for 2000 will be in September at the Fachhochschule Wilhelmshaven. Further meetings are planned for 2001 (FH Zwickau) and 2002 (FH Hannover). To prepare the first symposium, an inquiry was made concerning all aspects of education and research in the field of measurement technique at Universities of Applied Sciences, and the results, presented here, give a deep insight into education and research-work at German Universities of Applied Sciences.
