Design of terahertz devices based on dielectric metasurface: beam deflector and focusing deflector meta-lens

摘要
In this paper, a beam deflector and a focusing deflected meta-lens are designed using transmissive all-dielectric metasurface. Simulation results show that the beam deflector can deflect an electromagnetic wave of 0.5 THz by 20 degrees at normal incidence, while the focused deflected meta-lens is designed to focus an electromagnetic wave of 0.675 THz at F=6000 mu m and deflect it by 10 degrees. Both designs are simple in structure, light in weight and easy to manufacture, and will have great promise for applications in security detection and wireless communications.
