摘要
This paper describes a framework for the classification of switch-router integration schemes. Various definitions of integration are considered. Alternatives are discussed from the perspectives of architecture and product structure. Advantages and disadvantages of the various schemes are described and three alternatives of particular importance are identified. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Science B.V.
