摘要
A series of zirconium substituted barium thorates (BaTh1-xZrxO3, where x = 0-0.4) were synthesized via modified solid-state reaction. The electrical conducting behavior in the oxygen and hydrogen atmospheres was investigated in the temperature range of 300-600 degrees C. The chemical stability towards CO2 among these compositions was studied at 400 and 600 degrees C. All the Zr substituted BaThO3 exhibited higher conductivity than pristine BaThO3 in the oxygen atmosphere. BaTh0.9Zr0.1O3 was found to exhibit higher conductivity in the hydrogen atmosphere with better chemical resistivity towards CO2 at 400 degrees C over other compositions.
