Seamless Handoff Mechanism of Broadband Mobile Communication Network in Underground Mine

摘要
In underground mine locomotive unmanned system when a mine locomotive leaved an access point's coverage area, it had to handoff and reassociate with another one, this procedure would lead to communication delay. To solve this problem, a QoS Guarantee Seamless Handoff Mechanism (QGSHM) is presented. The mechanism includes QoS Guarantee AP Selection Algorithm (QGAS) and Dual-interface Seamless Handoff Procedure (DSHP). QGAS takes the load capacity, the received signal strength indicator value and the handoff time limitation into consideration to select an access point meeting the QoS requirements of the system. DSHP exploits the characteristic of the underground mine broadband mobile communication network, through the cooperation of the dual-interface in the mine locomotive to ensure the continuity of communication and realize seamless handoff.
