摘要
We have synthesized new carbazole based molecular glasses with hydrazone and imine goups. Thermal analysis confirms the metastable amorphous properties of these molecules with glass temperature in the range of 72 to 76 degrees C. Their electrochemical properties have been studied and show the effect of the conjugated imine or hydrazone groups on the electronic delocalization of the structures. A decrease of the oxidation potential, compared to the parent unsubstituted molecules, is observed, which decreases the HOMO energetic level and improves the donor properties of the molecules for an efficient regeneration of the oxidized sensitizer. Moreover,-the photogeneration of charge carrier in the dye is not modified by the absorption of the molecular glasses which is blue shifts by comparison with the ruthenium complex. The sensitized heterojunctions with this molecular glasses showed energy conversion effliciencies of 0.1% under simulated sunlight AM1.5 (98 mW/cm(2)).
