摘要
The title compound, C21H17N3S, is a new heterocyclic system derived from 1,5-benzodiazepine. The molecule is built up from two fused six-and seven-membered rings with phenyl and picolylsulfanyl side groups. The seven-membered ring displays a twist-chair conformation. The cohesion of the crystal structure is ensured by weak slipped pi-pi stacking between the pyridine rings of symmetry-related molecules [interplanar distance = 3.42 angstrom and centroid-to-centroid vector = 3.784 ( 1) angstrom] and weak C-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen-bond interactions.
