摘要
A method of determining the core dimensions in elliptical-core fiber is presented. It involves calculations of cutoff frequencies and direct measurement of cut-off wavelengths for higher order modes. The accuracy of the proposed method was tested using three elliptical core fibers of different external diameter, which were drawn from the same preform.
