摘要
AC Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) is an ultra-high power apparatus to transform the electricity into heat power for steel smelting. This paper proposes the hybrid flexible power supply (HFPS) system. The utilization of delta-connected power electronics-based power modules with the zero common-mode (ZCM) modulation into the series circuit enhances the active power regulation and makes full use of the device capacity. Furthermore, the special EAF transformer and shunt power quality (PQ) management equipment of the traditional power supply (TPS) system are both saved with the replacement of a multi-winding phase-shifting transformer. In addition, the distributed photovoltaic (PV) can be integrated through the DC bus in power modules towards the adaptability of scheduling. Considering the electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulation speed is challenged by the complex topology changes, an accelerated modeling method of the HFPS system is introduced. The comparative simulations on PSCAD/EMTDC verify the effectiveness of the proposed system.
