摘要
Cardiac Pacing is a very complex field with specialized computer programmers and sophisticated microprocessing in multi-programmable pacemakers, many having activity sensors, automatic intervals and mode switching adjusting algorithms, Therefore, organizing a pacemaker clinic and follow-up programme requires individuals who are dedicated and fully trained in the field of pacemaker technology. Setting up a pacemaker clinic requires appropriate staff, adequate space and equipment resources. The follow-up may be divided into three categories: patient evaluation, device evaluation and record-keeping.
