摘要
Meckel's diverticulum can present with unusual symptoms and signs leading to delay diagnosis. Herein, we report a case of a 48-year-old Chinese man who presented to us for symptom of acute appendicitis. Further investigation by computed tomography scan pelvis showed acutely inflamed medium sized diverticulum at the distal ileum with focal perforation and peritonitis. Laparoscopy showed perforated meckel's diverticulitis with a fish bone half perforated out and localised abscess formation. He had unremarkable post-operative course. We review the literature about complication of Meckel's diverticulum and the necesssity of surgical removal.
