摘要：

Silica refractories consist of >93% silica, SiO2, in one form or another. Crystalline silica possesses quite unique hot strength properties leading to its use in furnace crowns and superstructures. On the other hand, the amorphous form commonly called fused silica, exhibits excellent thermal shock properties leading to it being used in a variety of hot insertion applications.
